XMAS DAY
Jillys 1st Xmas was great!. We woke up around 7 am and started opening her gifts. She was so overwhelmed at first. But she sometimes would rip the paper. She LOVED the tissue paper and bows after Foster helped chew them a little. We then went to my moms house and Jilly did great there. She hung out and again ripped some presents. We were able to even get some pics with her grand dad. We then drove back home and played with some presents. We really had a great day.

Slacking: December 24th: XMAS EVE
So its been awhile of course. Its Jillys 1st Xmas Eve. All her presents are wrapped and we are ready to go. She is sick right now. A cold has been lingering in the house for awhile. She has a cough and we are taking Robutism cough a few X's a day. She is sleeping well though considering. We have the vaporizer and plug-in vapor going and her crib elevated. She is eating well. We are still on baby food. We have tried the Puffs and she is NOT interested. We have tried some warmed apple slices, avocado pieces and she is NOT interested. O well. We will keep trying. She is also not interested in crawling right now. She LOVES to walk with us holding her arms up above her head. She will walk across the room like that.
Today she has been on the floor for over a hr playing with herself and toys just rolling all over the place.
We are still not on a eating or nap schedule. With us being off for the next 2 weeks it wont be gatting any better. O well. She is sleeping through the night so that is good.

December 16th: Mall pictures
We finally got to the mall again and did her pictures. They turned out pretty cute. We were at the mall for FOREVER. Jilly of course did so good. Not a peep from her. We then went to Target and came home. By then she was really cranky. We really think she is teething now. She felt hot so we gave her some Tylenol. Carly and her b-friend came over to watch Jilly while Brian and I went to Jims Xmas praty. It was fun. Luckily Jilly didn wake up while we were gone.

December 15th. My work Xmas party/Santa
Friday Brian and I both were off. We woke up early of course and decided to take Jilly to the mall to get her 6 mth pictures done. We got to the mall around lunch time and the place was so busy so we couldnt do her pictures but we did get to sit with Santa. She did so good and we got such a good picture of her smiling.
Later that night we had to go to my work Xmas party at Dr. P mom house. We didnt leave our house till really late and I was worried about Jillys bedtime. But we go there around 6:30 and left around 8. She did SO GOOD. She cooed and smiled with everyone. I was so impressed.

Friday Dec 8th
The week in review:
Jilly had a GREAT week at daycare. No problems and no complaints! Not to much eventful happened this week.. Jilly tried zucchnini for the 1st time. She liked it OK. We mixed it with other squash and potatos and she seemed to like it better. I made a bunch of things like papaya, acorn squash, and carrots. She is squealing up a storm. She is also rocking alittle on her hands and pushing herself backwards. She still HATES belly time.
Today we had a busy day of nothing.
Woke: 6:30 am, Bed: 6:00 am
Napped: 8-10:30, 1-1:30, nodded of 3-3:30

Coleman turned ONE!
Jillian had another busy day! Coleman (brookes little guy) had a 1st birthday today. Jillian and I went to have cake and ice cream. She was so busy there playing with his toys :) She also did so well. Jilly was cooing and laughing and blowing rasperries the whole time. Everyone loved her. She didnt let out a single cry the whole time. She really flirted with the men. She also warmed so well to Brookes mom. We bought him the book Where the Wild Things ARe and a toy for the fridge by Leap Frog.

6 MONTH CHECK
Today was the 6th month check-up for Jilly. She was perfect! They said right on track developmentally.
We went to 2 malls today. She did so good. Everyone smiled at her while she sat up in her stroller.
Woke:She slept so good last night (went to bed 6:30) and didnt wake up till almost 6:30am. Took a nap at 8:15am woke at 9 and we went to the dr office. She didnt nap again till about 11:30-12:00 (very short one in her stroller) and again at 3:00-3:30 (again way short).
Fed:We ate at 7 (bottle), 10:30 (bottle), 1:30 (plums/oatmeal, 6oz bottle), 4 (4 oz bottle), 5:30 (butternut squash), 6 bath and last bottle (6oz) She started to get crabby around 3:30 I think from her shots. So I gave her some Tylenol.
She is really starting to reach up to be picked up. She LOVES to stand. Suzanne lent us a Leap Frog table and Jilly loves it already.
Wrap up of the week:
She had a good time in daycare this week. Towards the end of the week they were saying they thought her ear was bothering her (but it was fine). We had to push her bedtime back to 6:30 pm b/c she was getting so tired so early. Our stairs were put in and they look awesome. Now we are getting them stained next week.
Weight: 19 pds (weight of a 9 mth old)
Height: 28 inches (height of a 10 mth old)
Shots: 2 and a oral vaccine
Discussed: Food issues and starting 3 meals a day.

Banana day!
Jilly woke up today about 5:15 ready to go. It was so nice today so Jilly and I went shopping at Target and Old Navy for Xmas gifts while Brian ripped up the carpet from the stairs preparing them for Tues to be redone.
Jilly napped well today. Her morning nap started at 8:00 am but she woke up about 30 mins later so Brian wrapped her up in a blanket and held her. She slept for over an hr after that. At Target she sat up really well in the cart but I bjorned her at Old Navy. She came home and slept from 1:30-3:45 and then went to bed at 6:50 pm. She wanted to go to bed by 6 but we kept her up.
Jilly had oatmeal mixed with peaches and today for the 1st time banans. We also tried the sippy cup and she did really well.
Jilly learned to reach for your hands to lift her up from laying down to a sitting position. Too cute. S

USC vs Clemson 2006
We started out the day bright and early at 5:00am. I went to save her about 5:45 and we played HARD! She loves to stand and roll across the room. Before we knew it we were off to Scott and Suzanne's to watch the USC vs Clemson game. Jillian did not like their dog Kasey for some reason. She cried alot just looking at her. Who knows why. We took Colin and Jilly to the swing set and she swang for awhile. She cuddled with me on S/S couch for along time. She was so tired.
She napped at 8, 10:30, 2:30 (at S/S house) and 5 (in the car) but only for about 30 min each time. She ate oatmeal and apples around 10 and sweet potatoes 6:00. We are trying banans tomorrow.
She is still screaming when being changed for bed..very weird.

A Day at the Zoo
We went to the NC zoo today in Ashboro. It was so sunny and warm so it made it the perfect time to go. We arrived there around 12:00. Jilly slept alot on the way up there so she was ready to go.
Jillian was in her stroller most of the way around. Brian took her out to show her some of the animals. Alot of them were sleeping when we went by but she was really into any that moved especailly the otter and chimp. She wanted in her Bjorn towards the end and really got to look at the animals. We were there to 4 when it closed. We were all exhausted by the end of the day.
We didnt try any foods today. She woke at 5:00 but fell back to sleep and Brian woke her at 6:30. She napped at 8:45, 11, 5. Each about 1 hr. She was also very hungry eating 8 oz each in 2 bottles and at least 7 in the others. She is still on Augmentum for her ears till tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Jillians 1st T-day and she was so busy! We dressed her in her mushroom dress, onesie and tights. She played so hard rollling over and over and over again. Plus she ate oatmeal mixed with apples this morning, sweet potatoes and a little bit of mashed potatoes with our meal at T-day. Brian and I had my parents up for T-day since we couldnt do our annual trip to PA like normal. Luckily store bought already made turkeys are available for sale :).
She didnt nap very well today like usual but she was very happy and easy to entertain. She woke at 6:00 am and napped at 9:00 12:00, 3:00 for less then 1 hr each time. She ate about 6-7 oz in each bottle (5 bottles). Hard to get down to nap, she likes for you to stand and put your hand on her back and put her pacy in until she calms down. She has been needing that for awhile now but not at bedtime...She HATES bedtime. She screams bloody murder on changing her at bedtime for some reason.
She is wearing 12 month clothes easily b/c of her length. NExt week she turns 6 months and we go to her dr appt on Firday. Plus she has had an ear infection so hopefully that is cleared up. We also have to re-fill her Zantac Rx and I think it works somewhat.
Jillian started rolling all over the floor today. Stomach to Back over and over
